• Hi There,

    this is a question regarding services in Germany. If I enable that the customer will receive the tracking number in the “order ready/bestellung fertiggestellt” email will he receive the further “shipment notification/versandbest?tigung” by DHL which comes independent of woocomerce as well?

    If this one will be sent out can the customer use it to change place and time of the delivery or can he do so via following the tracking link in woocommerces order confirmation mail as well?

    If you enable the DHL email notification then they will receive both, yes. They would still need to opt-in to receive the email from DHL.

    They cannot change the place and time of the delivery via the WooCommerce email, I am not certain about the DHL one.

    thanks for your precise answer. I think they can change location via the DHL one.
    I am not using the “opt in” at checkout because I need to decide myself whether I send via letter or parcel. If I click on “order ready” my customers receive the tracking when I created a label and blank info when I did not. What does it exactly mean they “have still to opt in” as I do not offer this at check out? But I want the customers to get the mail by DHL because many people need to change place or time.

    Thanks but how do I resolve this problem that I mentioned above:

    If I use the box all customers will see the email notification box at checkout and will expect a notification if they click it, but some will receive a letter which does not provide a notification.

    So if all customers click the box, some will be disappointed, but I need the email notification for the parcel customers so that they can change the delivery time. What to do?

    I do not have a solution for this specific scenario unfortunately. You will have to decide whether to keep it on or not.
