Tracking Code
-
Hello Alekv,
Your plugin looks amazing and your reviews are great – hopefully it does what I am looking for. I am new to this sorry. I have Woocommerce setup on my website. I use a plugin called “GA Google Analytics” – its only purpose (I think) is to connect my Google Analytics Account to my site. It had me enter a “GA Tracking ID” that looks like UA-123456789-1 and give me a couple of choices of tracking methods of which the default is “gtag.js” and another default is “Include tracking code in page head (via wp_head)”. So far so good I can tell how many people visited my website, which device they used, which search engines…. but from reason I cannot see the search terms they used from google to get there, not sure why. For keywords it says either “not set” or “not provided” 1. (not set)I have recently opened an adwords account and am get visits from my websites and some purchases but I do not know here they come from(adwords, organic, if it is from adwords, which keywords they used to get there) – I want to see which ads are effective and which keywords resulted in purchases (I can see from my adwords which terms were clicks but I dont want to waste more money if they click but don’t buy using that term). Will your plug help me do that? The Plugin I referenced above doesn’t track “conversions” I’ve been reading a lot about. I am not too worried yet about WHICH products they bought since I only sell 2 products but more for those who purchased… where they come from and WHAT they typed to get there, WHICH ad they clicked on, and WHAT term they used. I enabled the “conversion option” on my google ads account options and it gave me a couple of #’s ie: <!– Global site tag (gtag.js) – Google Ads: 555555555 –> and gtag(‘config’, ‘AW-555555555’); I am guessing I put the 9 digit # in your Conversion ID and leave the Conversion Label Blank? DO I check mark the “gtag Deactivation” choice or leave it unchecked. Also do I still need the above GA Google Analytics plugin as well or once I install your plugin I can delete the above plugin – ie if your plugin does both the 1) Woocommerce Conversion Tracking and 2) connect my Site to Google Analytics so I can keep seeing the information I currently get from my analytics account. I am guessing once I have everything, I login into Google Analytics? or Adwords account? to see who bought what from which site and which ad…. Like I said your plugin really looks very helpful and easy to use. Thanks for taking the time to design it and will definitely donate (everyone should!) to a good cause it all works out. Sorry for the long response. Sam. Thanks again for your hard work!
