Trackbacks / Pingbacks – WP 2.5

  • When trying to do trackbacks they do not post right away. I have to unpublish the post and re publish it. Then the trackback will show up on the other blog.

    Is there something that can be done to resolve this issue. Both blogs are WordPress 2.5. Thank you

    Instead of republishing it, try looking at your blog instead. Trackbacks and pingbacks execute through WP-Cron, meaning that they’ll run the next time the blog is loaded and wp-cron runs. This can take a minute or two.

    Ok I will give it some time. I have had a few people not have it happen for a few hours.

    Is there something that I can run in crontab that will cause it to check every hour or so?

    There should not be any need to check it every hour or so, and it should get sent after just a minute or so.

    Are you doing future posts or something? Those won’t be sent until the post appears.

    Incoming trackbacks are not working on my blog at all after I upgraded to 2.5.1. Any ideas?
