• I have received a couple of emails and comments that the reader has submitted a trackback to my post, but it is not showing.

I’m using the Desert Theme. There is a Trackback link. Also, in the Discussion Options, the “Allow link notifications from other Weblogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)” is checked.

Help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Check your comment moderation section under the “Manage” tab. The trackback may be waiting there. Are you using the comment blacklist feature as well, and do you have any anti-spam plugins active?

    macmanx.

    Thanks.

There are no comments/trackback in the “Awiting Moderation” tab. When I do get “Spam” comments, I review these closely to be sure there is nothing that shouldn’t be there.

As for the comment blacklist. The “Blacklist comments from open and insecure proxies” box is checked, as it has been since I started using WordPress. I have not added anything to the Blacklist dialog block.

    I have no anti-spam plugins.

    Thanks for your assistance. –David

Upgrade to the most current stable release of WordPress (currently v1.5.2). Then, use the following system to test your trackbacks and reply with any errors encountered by the system.
