Trackbacks – How Do I Refer to Other Blogs???

Hello, all. I am literally sitting here sweating on this balmly Sunday evening as I’m Googling for hours now trying to figure this out. For the first time today, someone linked to my blog with a trackback. I immediately followed the link and thanked the user for posting an excerpt of my article with the trackback.

Seems I should be doing this more often myself but for the life of me, I don’t know how (and I’m an ex IT pro so I’m comfortable with technology).

Please, kindly give me the simple steps. Is there a plugin that I need? Do I simply type the URL within the post? What is the trick?
