    I don’t know if you need to turn on ‘Advanced Editing Options’ in the Options panel to see this, but there should be a little form field below the post content field on the ‘Write Post’ page that’s titled something like ‘URI’s to TrackBack in This Post.’ You’ll want to add the trackback URI’s to this field, following the directions it has there. Once you do that, WordPress will take care of the pinging and whatnot and the trackbacks should work.

    And, just as a side note so if I’m totally understanding you wrong here please ignore me: It sounds a little like you’re thinking the trackbacks you reference in your post should appear as trackbacks in your own post’s comments list. That’s not the case. Trackbacks appear in the comments list of the blog that you were trackbacking.

    I hit TRACKBACK URL and that just takes me to an url that redirects me back to the same page.
