Trackbacks disabled/backlink not showing up in Analytics

  • I’m having a problem with Trackback settings.

    It came about when I noticed that a dofollow backlink had not shown up in my Google Analytics trackbacks.

    I checked my WordPress settings and found that the ‘allow trackbacks’ button in Discussion was unchecked.

    Here’s where more problems come in…

    1) When I click the box and save, it comes right back up as unsaved. Every time.

    2) Why are some dofollow backlinks showing up in Google Analytics but not others?

    3) How can I retroactively fix this so that old trackbacks show up?

    4) Does this WP setting necessarily have anything to do with what trackbacks Google Analytics lets through, or could there be another reason a dofollow link isn’t showing up?

    Any insight would be much appreciated….
