Trackback works, pingback fails

  • About one year ago, I started my blog: Paretje’s blog.

    And now, I wanted to test the trackback and pingpack functions on my blog. I installed a test blog, and tested it.

    My blog sends perfectly pingbacks and trackbacks, but when I try the same with my test blog, only the trackback has effect.

    I tested if there was maybe a bug in my design, and so I tried it with the default one: no effect.

    Then, I’ve tried it by reuploading ALL the WordPress files on both blogs: no effect.

    So, I’m curious what it can be the problem.

    PS: both blogs run on the same server ??

    Nobody? Both are original, except theme and 2 plugins for my php codes and for a box around codes.

    You might want explain a little further exactly what you are doing, the versions you are using, etc.

    Both are using WordPress 2.5.1 (on that moment, that was the latest version).

    What I am doing:
    On my blog, when I add a url to a post on an other WordPress blog, there is automatically send a pingback, and there is a comment added on that blog. Trackback works too.

    But, my blog doesn’t handle the pingback correctly, and shows NOTHING (same in the CP ;)). When you send a trackback to my blog, that works correctly …

    So, a trackback works, a pingback fails. I overwritten all files, tried it with the default theme … The only thing I didn’t look to is the database.
