Trackback problem – works in some cases

  • Hi, I’ve spent a long time on this and am totally stumped.

    I’m trying to get trackbacks working. I’m using WP 1.5.2 and have been testing trackbacks with two sites:

    Test Track ( https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/TestTrack/ )
    and with
    Red Alt’s Ping-o-Mation ( https://www.redalt.com/External/pingomation.php )

    With Red Alt everything is workin dandy. I can send trackbacks and can receive both trackbacks and pingbacks.

    With Test Track I can receive trackbacks that I set up there, but when I create a new post with an outgoing trackback to my Test Track post it doesn’t work. I’ve also been trying to send trackbacks to someone else’s blog and that doesn’t work.

    Any idea what would be the difference between these ?

    I’m so sorry – trackbacks do work with Test Track – I didn’t realize moderation was turned on there so all my trackbacks were in moderation!

    Now I just have to get this working with real sites, must be a problem at their end.
