Trackback in WP 1.2

1.2.1 doesn’t trackback or pingback, I can confirm that as well.

I’ve had plenty of success with both sending and receiving trackbacks on my blog. Running WP v1.2.1.

Add me to the list of people using WordPress 1.2.1 for whom the Trackback feature fails. I was surprised since it worked with an earlier version, so I <u>assumed</u> that it worked with the current stable version of WordPress until it was demonstrated to me that it was a problem at my end, rather than at the other end to which I was tracking back.
IMHO, this is a loss of important weblog functionality. I wonder how it could have been lost during version changes?

When I had the default permalink structure trackback worked fine in my WP 1.2.1 install. I altered the permalink structure a while back and just recently noticed that when I send trackbacks they do no show up on other blogs.

There are two blogs you can login to there for pingbacks / trackbacks.
(I know you might know, but it might help to play as I know that server and those install work)

What is a Trackback? Additionally, what is PingBack? I don’t understand… Thanks.

it worked for my in the wp 1.2.1 mingus.. but not so much in the 1.2.2 …and i think it does not fix the ingoing Trackbacks…
the ping to the directories when posting has never ever worked for me…or anyone i know of…

Also.. this problem has been posted many many times… so you should first do a search in the forum.. and then posting your problem…
