    Hi,

I use Google Tag Manager to track users across GA as there are many custom triggers that I have configured. I am using GTM4WP plugin to implement GTM across the website.

I wanted to explore Google Web Stories and I installed this plugin along with Google Site Kit. Site Kit asked me to create another container within GTM for AMP and now I see two containers – one for web and another for AMP within my GTM account.

But the AMP container is empty. Should I again add all tags (like FB Pixels) again within this new container?

  • Hi @maildeepak thanks for your question. If you already have Site Kit enabled and Analytics connected either via the Analytics module or GTM module then this should be tracking your Web Stories.

You can check this by going to Stories > Settings > Google Analytics. If this is configured correctly it will say “Site Kit by Google has already enabled Google Analytics for your Web Stories, all changes to your analytics tracking should occur there.”.

If this isn’t set up then you should be bale to just place your original Analytics property in this section of the Stories settings.

If you have any further questions let me know.

i removed Site Kit plugin and added the GA3 property ID via Web Stories settings.
