Track PDF downloads

    I have installed the plugin. On Events Tracking, i have ‘track downloads, mailto and outbound links’ enabled.

    Where can I view results? Can I view in Analytics? Does this have to be setup first in Analytics or with code inserted? I guess i was under assumption that the plugin tracked all downloads and links autmatically.

  • Hi,

    Those reports are available in your Google Analytics account.

    The plugin automatically inserts the necessary code, and as long as there are no errors (JavaScript) blocking the functionality, it works basically out of the box.

    It’s under Behavior -> Events -> Overview, on your Google Analytics account.

    If I want to have a Goal…. for example, I have a page with a “GET A QUOTE” button. When clicked, it is directed to a page with form. When the form is completed, It is then directed to a THANK YOU Page with unique URL.

    Do I need to do anyything within analytics? Does your plugin help track this?
