    Hi,

The Total Views post count shown inside WordPress is completely different from the post view count inside Google Analytics although both have been connected for a long time.

    Any idea why the discrepancy?

WordPress doesn’t have a post view count.

What plugin is providing that functionality for you?

Actually, I have not installed any plugin to count post views.

As already written, WordPress itself has no such function. I assume that one of the plugins you are using has this as a “sub-function”.

In your screenshot, you can see many plugins in the menu on the left, but there are none of them where I am aware of such a counter as a function. Have a look at the list of your plugins. If you are unsure which plugin provides the function, deactivate individual plugins or all plugins as a test until the column is gone – then you will have found the guilty plugin.

Ok, I have disabled a few of the key plugins I have installed. No changes. And I am sure there’s no coding for that feature I showed in my screenshot.

Anyway, I assume it must be a hidden feature in one of the plugins I have but can’t identify.

I will keep looking for post views in my Google Analytics to make sure the views are more precise.

Thank you all for the insights.

    Ok, last update here.

I discovered that the Total Views is a default feature of ColorMag theme, which I am currently using.

    Best,

    Douglas.
