Total Rubbish

  • I have used wordpress for years both on client sites and my own. But i must say this is probably the worst thing WP have ever done. it makes doing stuff impossibly slow, its like a child of 3 developed it. This will be WP downfall i can see it happening. its a sad situation indeed. If WP care about thier users they will change back or at least keep the classic plugin going forever. not happy….

  • I care about the user experience! I’m interested to know more about your setup since you mentioned things are slow for you. That is not my experience but I’d like to help uncover details from your case and possibly help test and report how to repeat the problem so it can be fixed.

    Can you tell me a little about your setup? What OS and browser are you using? Is the content you’re having trouble with mainly text or does it also have a lot of other kinds of media or embeds? It may also be relevant to know a list of your active plugins.

    I did try testing myself already. I tried creating a 2,000-word post and didn’t have any trouble working with that amount of text. I used WordPress 5.0 and just paragraph blocks in my test and worked on Firefox 63.0.3 on macOS 10.13.6. However, just because I couldn’t see the problem in my own testing on a first pass doesn’t mean the problem isn’t there. It just means more information is needed to figure out why it is slow in your case!
