Total Quantity Limiting – 2 Ticket Types

Hi Nick,

At this time, it’s not possible to combine quantities for limiting.

One way around this might be to use a hidden field that calculates the total of the given quantities you’d like to limit. Then you could set up a limit for the hidden field. This could get a bit out of sorts with validation and notifications, but it would allow for a limit to be in place.

I think I understand the concept, but executing it is another story.

I would really appreciate if you could give a quick rundown of the steps to accomplish this workaround.

Any chance of a modification? $$

I think (I hope) this is exactly what I’m looking for – but the field-id drop down is empty.

I have 3 types of tickets for a concert – general admission, floor seating and pit seating. Each type has a limit. I created a Quantity Limit for my form, but have no dropdowns on field. Not sure this plugin will work for multiple items, and I am hoping it is, but not sure why the field isn’t dropping down.

I’m at WordPress 3.6.1 and Gravity forms 1.7.9.

B. Hays, regarding your suggestion, you mention using a hidden field; however, a limit cannot be set on it. How can this be achieved?

The field would have to be hidden manually via CSS instead of Gravity Forms.

Upon further review, this wouldn’t be a very good solution as you can’t accurately show the remaining number of tickets if the field is hidden.

One quick solution that I can think of is to keep the quantities separate for each field and adjust as needed. I know this is more labor intensive, but it’s about all the plugin can do at this point.
