    Hi,

On my clients website https://folieconfetti.be/ it looks like the product weight isn’t calculated correctly during checkout.

I have several rules set up for weight based shipping and they all work fine for individual products. But it looks like the weight for a single product that is added multiple times, isn’t calculated correctly.

    For example:

This product https://folieconfetti.be/product/slaapklets-deel-2/ has a set weight of 0.3 kg.

The defined rule says that orders with a weight under or equal to 0.350 kg need to be charged a shipping cost of 2.3 Euro (incl taxes).

But when I add 2 of these products to the cart, the shipping cost remains at 2.3, instead of 5 Euro (incl taxes) which is the cost for products with a weight over 0.350 kg and below 1kg.

Would you know why this is happening?

    Many thanks,
    Valerie

  • Hi Developerss I think you need to explain better the math concepts below this plugin (in the admin settings comments) because people have difficulties to set the price ranges in line with different weight steps. I must say I found the calculation very intuitive but eventually is not so wide accepted the mathematical background of this plugin, that I think are flexible!

    Hi Valerie,

Usually, that happens if weight units doesn’t match. For example, your WooCommerce Weight Unit is set to kilograms but either product weights or values for the Order Weight condition in shipping rules are set with grams in mind.

Another common case, is that product weight is actually different to what you assume.

    Could you double check that?

    Hi @maxxdesign,

Could you create a new thread and provide details about what you think should be explained better there?

    Hi @dangoodman,

That was exactly the problem! Silly me for not seeing that!

Thanks so much for the quick reply.

    Regards,
    Valerie
