• Hi Team

We are newbies. We are running WP 4.0 soon to upgrade to 4.0.1

We cant get in touch with the guy we paid to build the new website (www.australiaonlinecourses.com) it is online business college) and am trying to learn about Plugins.

We want to get rid of a plugin that forces students to ‘Sign up’ and ‘Login’ because they don’t seem to like it. They just want to view the site, choose a course, and pay for it with PayPal etc.

Can anyone help us know which plugin is the one for this, so we can de-=activate it?

Here is a list of our plugins:

**Also – is it safe for us to ‘update’ these Plugins, when a newer version is available? Do we have to ‘reset’ any settings etc?

    Please help us!

Thank you all for taking the time to read this.

  • Hi Brent,

Looks like your websites cart is made up of WooCommerce plugin. It is always better to create an account to have anything to purchase from your website. Using which you can have records with you for the signups/purchases done on your website.

If you disable the WooCommerce then your cart will get disabled. You will need to check in WooCommerce plugin settings if there is any login option available or not.

You may also get details about WooCommerce from below link:

    Thanks.

The WooCommerce Plugin has an option to “Allow Guests” to buy, which means a student can either create and account, or just proceed to checkout, however, when we changed the settings to allow this, it didn’t work, it just blocked us and demanded a Username, a Password, and a zip code (it wouldn’t allow any zip code). Frustrating.

But if you have a look at a similar site (www.australianonlinecourses.com) I don’t think you have to create and account to buy a course from them.
