    Hello,

I just installed your plugin because it seemed to be the most used out there of it’s type. I was very pleased at first by its simple settings and how perfectly it worked in Chrome. But then I tested it in other browsers and it was a total disaster.

In Safari this plugin literally caused my entire website to scroll sideways when scrolling down with my mouse wheel. It was as if the entire website was being moved to the left, exposing the CSS background behind it. I’ve never seen anything like that before.

In IE the plugin simply didn’t work at all… not that I care about IE that much. But for Safari it literally disabled my entire website. I had to immediately disable this plugin.

I thought you should know about this as the developer of the plugin. Now I’m unfortunately going to have to look elsewhere for this solution.

    Hello,
I tested my plugins on many browsers, before I put it here ??

Problem will be in your theme’s css. Why you didn’t provide link to your webpage?

Some browsers has their own smooth scolling function – Safari and IE and Firefox – so there is plugin inactive. ( Btw there is no more IE, but Edge )

For example try this page: https://dam.sk – it’s with this plugin and it’s working well… and there are many other sites.

So you have to repair your theme.

    Hi Kubiq,

I had to uninstall this immediately because it was disabling our website. At the time we didn’t have a staging website setup for testing.

I don’t believe there’s any problem with our css, though clearly your plugin affected it. The question is why would this plugin interact with the css layout at all? I thought this type of function was controlled with jquery.

I’m aware that Safari has it’s own native smooth scrolling function. But the problem I reported above happened in Safari when this plugin was active. It was the direct cause.

As for IE, it does still exist because I still have it here in my Windows 8 machine. Only Windows 10 is using Edge as far as I know. Like I said originally, I don’t care that much about IE/Edge. I’m a Chrome user myself.

I still would like to get this working if possible. We setup a staging site in the last few weeks and we could install your plugin there so you could troubleshoot it.

Please let me know if you’d like to do that and I’ll provide the URL.

    Our live site is https://www.SeattleWeb.Design

I didn’t provide it originally because I had uninstalled the plugin.

    Hello.

I believe it’s problem with your CSS or another activated plugin. On webpage everything interact with everything. I install this plugin on every webpage I created and it’s working everywhere, so this is only logical reason.

Yes, plugin is active, but function for smooth scrolling is not active in browsers with native smooth scroll. Have you tried web page I wrote? https://dam.sk , or you can try another one: https://demonsurfboards.com, https://evan.sk, https://najlepsiavyhovorka.sk, https://www.deliciousphotography.sk, https://patientempowerment.sk, …

Of course, and ENIAC (first computer) also still exist, but we are not going to create compatibility for it ?? Older versions of IE like IE8 and below are not tested, they are too old.

Yes you can create staging site and I can take a quick look, but as I can see in https://www.SeattleWeb.Design there is some custom scrollbar and that’s scrolling script – you can’t combine scrolling scripts, so you can’t install my plugin and this plugin/theme scrollbar.

Hello, please try our newest version 2.0, there is completely different scrolling script ??
If you’re happy and it’s working, you can rate our plugin

    Hi Kubiq,

I appreciate you letting me know about this update after so long. To be honest I just didn’t have the time to pursue this two months ago. But since you said the plugin is now using a completely new script, it’s worth a try.

I’ll install it later today and let you know how it works. Of course I’d be happy to leave positive feedback if there’s no issues.

    Stay tuned…

    Hi Kubiq,

I thought you’d like to know that I just installed your plugin on a new site I’m developing and it seems to be working nicely. However, it only is affecting Chrome.

I never got around to testing this on my other site (that I originally wrote here about), but will do it eventually. I’ve just been very busy with this new project.

    All my best!
