Hello @chrisatwp and thanks for your topic. Site Kit should not cause any performance issues on your site and simply places the relevant code snippets needed by the connected Google Services.

These snippets are placed within the source code of your site as they would be manually. I would be happy to have a look to see if there is anything that stands out that could be causing any noticeable performance problems if you’re happy to provide Your Site Health information or you can share privately via this form.

It may be worth also checking the Analytics Help Center to see if there is anything here that can help you.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

@chrisatwp thank you for screenshots. We do have a guide on the Front-end performance with Site Kit which will explain more what Site Kit is doing when using it.

I can see the difference between the two with and without Site Kit so would be happy to check things on your side to see if there is anything that stands out such as a possible conflict with the Site Kit plugin that could be causing performance issues. If you could provide Your Site Health information privately via this form then I’d be happy to check this.

As stated in the guide ‘Site Kit makes the same http requests that are made when such Google services are connected manually’ so it would be useful to see if you get the same performance stats when placing your Tag Manager and Analytics snippets manually. You could do this while temporarily disabling the Site Kit plugin.

I have filled in the form.
My Google Analytics work fine. It is just the plugin.

@chrisatwp thanks for providing the information. I can’t see anything that stands out from the Site Health provided. At this point I would suggest trying to place the Analytics and Tag Manager snippets manually on your site and then checking your page speed results once more.

If they are the same as when having Site Kit activated then this would indicate that it is not caused by the plugin itself. We are limited to support for the Site Kit plugin here so please do try this and let me know if manual placement results differ from Site Kit placed ones and if so we can look into this further for you otherwise I would suggest reaching out to each service support center for more help.

If automatic ads are enabled, it can show too many ads and this increases the loading time of the ad. Another problem is delaying the loading time of the site. Sometimes when I test my site (https://yerliteknoloji.net) with a mobile browser, I slowly scroll through the content, but the ad loads later. In other words, the user does not always see the ads. I also wanted to point this out.

@chrisatwp As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.

With the plugin removed, my site speed is faster.
