    Hi Guys,

I selected in the settings under “Topic Recipent Roles” the roles Administrator,Editor and Subscriber. I would like all users with that Role to receive an email when a topic is created.

Unfortunately, only the Editor seems to get an Email.

Do you have an idea why??

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Awa-Online,

Check that the authors are set to receive notifications of their own replies. That usually throws people off during tests, as the author is set to multiple roles and doesn’t get any messages.

Thanks a lot for the fast reply.

I have created 3 Users (Administrator,Editor and Subscriber) with 3 diffrent email-adresses. The problem occured when a nother user then me created a topic. Only my Editor gets an email the Admin and the Subscriber dont.
I got the checkbox “Authors must receive a notification when they create a reply.” and “Authors must receive a notification when they create a topic.” checked.

I dont understand why, do have another idea?

    Thanks a lot

I don’t see any problems with the settings. I did install WP Email Logging so you can check what gets sent out during notification.

How are you testing this? I did not test it because I see you have 48 subscribers which you’ll be spamming with test messages the way you have it set up.

Ok, thanks a lot for the help and the support.

You are right, unfortunatly i can only test it with 48 subscriber getting the test mails. But for now they dont get any emails anyway.

I created an Administrator, Editor and a Subscriber with different email-adresses. When i create a Topic all of them should get an email, but only the Editor get one!

When a Reply is written only the Administrator and the Editor shoul get an email. But here also only the Editor get the mail.

The Informed the user that we are testing the Website for Forum notifications so they know that there could be some Emails.

Thanks also for the Plugin “WP Email Logging”. It makes it a little bit easyer to see who gets emails and who not!

Please check your email account settings. I just sent a test message and WP Email Logging shows 53 messages were sent.

    Cheers!

    Hi Vinny,
the Plugin “WP Email Logging” is very helpful.
I did some tests and it seems to work just fine.
Only my Administrator User with the email “[email protected]” is not getting notifications when a reply was made. But maybe its because of my email account settings.
But for me its important that the subscribers get an email when a Topic is created. And this workes!! Thanks a lot for you help!! Great Plugin!!
