Top post widget

I wanted to add a widget with my mot popular posts. I’ve seen a lot of plug ins that would do this, but require a lot of additional plug ins and/or coding. Then I stumbled upon this WP announcement: https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2006/09/26/top-posts-widget/

I’d like to just use that widget, but I don’t have it?? How do I find it? My WP stats are up and running, but there’s no widget. Can anyone help?
