Top Navigation Bar does not work now. It always worked before.

    This website worked well for a couple of years. I keep the site with the most current plugins or theme versions kept current. I write articles – I do not do coding.

    Question:
    How can I get the top navigation bar to work?
    problem: A visitor could click the “about” page and it linked to the page article. When I click page “about” nothing happens.

    Inside the back of the website – I used to click log out on the top navigation bar. It does not let me log out.

    Any help is appreciated. I feel like a turnip. I’m not sure how to fix this.

    to clarify my post above…

    The top navigation bar does not work.
    The top navigation bar is located above the header on the website.
    If I click “about” page button – it goes no where.

    When I am in the back of the website the top navigation bar does not work – when I click log out – nothing happens.

    Hope I have made it more clear.

    Have you opened up console in chrome or firebug and seen if there is an error on the client side of things?

    Reset the theme?

    When a new version of the wp theme comes out I click to update to most recent version.

    I have used only the 1 theme for the last year.

    By reset theme – do you mean changed themes?

    No, I have not changed themes. It has been this one theme for the past year.

    I have not used chrome or firebug. It is my own website.

    Chrome browser or firefox’s add-on!!!! They are development tools within the browser.

    Next time I would state that the error happened the latest upgrade. I would add this into your keyword search next time. More than likely someone has already ran into this issue.

    Try disabling plugins to find whether any are responsible.

    There was a recent plug in I used for photo album. I’ll check it.

    Just checked the photo album plug in did not cause this.

    At this moment, the biggest issue is that I cannot log out wp site. I click that top nav bar to log out and nothing happens.

    Can you post a link to your site? Also try changing to the default theme and de-activating ALL plug-ins.
