I’m using Twenty-Fourteen theme, and for some reason my top menu/masthead is no longer sticking to the top of the screen on my homepage and static pages, but it is working as expected on blog post pages. This only seems to have started happening today, specifically within the last hour or so. I’ve tried rolling back cosmetic changes I’ve made in the last 24 hours but that hasn’t made any difference, and to be honest the only change I’ve made in that time is to update the entry on the ‘Currently Reading’ widget (left hand column). I tried disabling and re-enabling various menu options and widgets, tried all infinite scroll options in Jetpack, switched header- and background images on and off, and logged out of the admin to get rid of the admin toolbar, but none of this has made a difference either. I’ve confirmed the behaviour in Firefox and MS Edge but don’t have access to other browsers.

Can anyone offer any suggestions how to fix this behaviour please?

Additional information after more poking and prodding – if I deselect the Top Primary Menu (i.e. set the drop-down to –select–) the masthead becomes sticky, but if I set the Top Primary Menu to my main navigation menu it stops being sticky everywhere except post pages.

After more prodding I’ve discovered that including a home link in my top menu seems to disable the ‘masthead-fixed’ attribute in the body div for all but post pages, so I’ve removed that menu item and all seems to work fine now.
