Top links work in IE but not FF or Chrome

  • The site, first off, is located at https://wildedibles.alimar.me

    The problem is that the links in the silver horizontal bar just above the main content area do not work in FF or Chrome, although they work just fine in IE.

    I’ve been fighting with this for a few days and cannot quite figure out what he problem is. This shouldn’t be a .css issue, as I’ve not changed any of the sizing at all (so shouldn’t be an overlapping div). The only css changes I have made was to add transparency to the main content box.

    The code appears to be right on a ‘view source’, and I’m being horribly frustrated in trying to get this one figured out.

    All help would be much appreciated!

  • They work fine for me in Firefox, Safari and Chrome on a Mac. Perhaps you need to clear your browser and any other caches?

    We appear to have found it. For some reason, a “float: left;” was resulting in the overlay of the content div over that menu div — but only in non- IE browsers.

    I did try clearing cache, but had several users come back to me with the same issue, so it wasn’t a single-computer problem. A Windows one perhaps?

    Mind you, the top menu is no longer seamless to the page content, but with the addition of a couple of borders, we have the look to where I’m willing to accept it. I’m inclined to believe that there may have been a float:clear that should have been added and wasn’t somewhere, but haven’t had the time to peel the entire css apart to figure out exactly what goes where as of yet. I will eventually get it to lay the way it’s supposed to, but meanwhile, we have an acceptable compromise.
