If you have a top level menu item that ‘has’ a page link and ‘has’ sub pages , the top level link is clickable on my laptop , but on a real mobile device the top-level link cannot be accessed , it does nothing . The sub pages beneath it work fine. The only way i can get that top-level link to open is to keep my finger on it and wait for the box to pop-up that asks to open in ‘new tab’ or ‘same tab’ etc , so it knows a link exists.

I’ve tried this with an i-phone and a samsung S5 on android …same , same. Also tried it on an ipad and that’s the same also.

As an example on the plugin homepage , the ‘Home’ link that has a mega menu dropdown with a map , you can’t use the ‘home’ link to get back to the homepage from other pages.

Even if i turn off the mega menu option for that link , and have just the ordinary drop down , it still can’t be clicked on in an actual mobile device. Not sure what the problem is ?

    Hi andy,

The problem is that if the click ‘works’ then there’s no way to ever see the sub menu.

You can add a class of ‘click-click-go’ to the menu item (by going to Screen Options at the top of the Menus page and enabling the classes checkbox), this will make the first click open the sub menu and the second click to to the link itself.

    Regards,
    Tom

That’s it Tom , working great now. Thanks for the quick solution.

    Many thanks

    Hi Tom !

Can you explain me how I can add this ‘click-click-go’ ?
(I already enabled the CSS classes check Box…)

    Thanks in advance
