Immediately block the IP of users who try to sign in as these usernames
Any username you add here will cause an IP to be blocked if they try to log in with that username. You can add usernames that are frequently used in brute force attempts such as “admin” or your domain name without the top domain.

    What is top domain?

  • Hi @danishhaidri,

The top domain is referring to the website extension.

    For example: .com, .org, .net

Attackers may commonly try to login to your WordPress site using your domain name, for example, if you site is named https://hello.com, they might try hello as the username.

Thank you for the clarification. As you can tell I am new to the platform.

I also read that some users had problems with the auto-update functionality where their website went down after WF got automatically updated on their live site. Should i disable this on my live site?

If this ever happened with me I would not even know what to do since I am not a developer and don’t have access to one either.

    Hey @danishhaidri,

Disabling the auto-updates is a personal preference. The majority of users do not urn into the auto-update failures, but it does happen. If you’d feel more comfortable disabling it, then please do.

Please let us know if anything else comes up.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
