Top Bar Pro not activating, but changing secondary nav instead

  • Top Bar Pro no longer actually turns on when enabled. Instead, it just changes the color of our secondary nav bar (top of page).

    We use TBP for announcing when our campus is closed, so it’s obviously quite problematic that the plugin is no longer functioning properly. Please advise.

    Just as a follow-up, when it does sometimes activate after 15-20 minutes, the secondary navigation is still changed to the wrong color. Any ideas?

    The site looks fine because I managed to sidestep the issue by doing the following:

    1) Enable Top Bar with desired message (which turns my secondary nav blue)

    2) Go into my WP Appearance Customization settings and reapply the color to the secondary nav to be what it’s supposed to

    That essentially seems to be overwriting whatever change Top bar is making to my secondary nav. I’ll post where you directed if the issue persists. Thanks.
