• Hello,
    it seems like there is a bug. Once the top bar is edited adding social links, the default padding, or any custom padding, is ignored.
    Strange thing is that after inspecting the css is correctly set, but it does not display.
    This happened to me with another website, in which I had to add padding (via custom css) to #top-bar-inner to correct the problem.
    Thank you for your interest in solving the issue.

  • Hello,

    Tried checking and getting 8px padding added for the top/bottom.

    Kindly share a snapshot of settings and let us know what padding you have added that not working.

    Sorry, I did not understand your first sentence.
    Anyway here the link of the screenshot, hoping it will explain the issue.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

    Sorry but seems a misunderstanding here.

    That is what I’m also saying that padding is already showing there.

    SO let us know that what show be there in place of 8px.
    ANd share the snapshots of your setting in the customizer(Appearance > Customize > Topbar), which will help us to see the differences.

    What exactly you are expecting in place of below code.
    #top-bar {
    padding: 8px 0;
    }

    Hello,
    correct values (8px top/bottom) are inserted, and the backend preview renders it correctly. If I change values, it also changes in the backend preview.But after saving nothing changes in frontend and values are set are they were zero.

    I also tried adding in custom css:
    #top-bar {
    padding: 8px 0;
    }
    but it does not work.
    The only fix is adding padding to the inner div #top-bar-inner.
    Thank you!

    Hello,

    Tried checking and it is working well on the local.
    Have you added custom codes?
    If yes, kindly remove those and check.

    and go to Elementor > System Info and share the report with us so that we can take a look.

    Hello,
    it is a very simple blog.
    – It does not use Elementor.
    – No custom code added.
    – I tried already switching to parent theme OceanWp , instead of child theme
    – I tried already to disable the few plugins used.
    Nothing changes.
    This is the third site I’m having this identical issue.
    On 3 different servers as well.
    As example this one:

    I don’t know what to say…
    Thank you!

    I decided to hide top bar, in the second example above. I attach here a screenshot so you can see how it was:

    Exactly the same as first website.
    Thanks

    That is quite odd, it needs to take a closer look into the issue.
    If possible, open a ticket at the helpdesk.
