I checked the IP addresses and they are reversed in the report.

The image is from a recent “Wordfence activity” email. The countries are reversed. The top block count belongs to France.

In the WordFence Blocked IP report in the WordPress menu it does show the first one (4.233.112.111) as France.

I have a clue: in the WordPress menu I did delete the 2nd one (It was me doing a test) before the email report came out. Maybe the this impacts the email report.

    What can be wrong?

Hi @panotop, thanks for highlighting the issue you’re seeing.

IP location detection will never be 100% accurate in all cases, but we do update the GeoIP database as often as we can. Having said this, I appreciate a fixed USA IP showing as “France” and a France IP showing as “USA” does seem strange, although because we’re only comparing two pieces of data, could still be coincidental.

As the country code is stored in the same database row as the IP address, the report isn’t mismatching rows from different tables due to deletion of data. If you’d like to send an export of the?wfblockediplog?table to wftest @ wordfence .com with your forum username in the subject line, we could take a look if the records aren’t old enough to have been pruned already.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

At this point those records are no longer in that table. There is just one from another country. If I notice this again I’ll dump the table right away and send it in.

Ah, no worries @panotop. I’ll close this topic for now just in case it doesn’t repeat for some time. However, don’t hesitate to open up a new topic and send the table up-front to the email address above so we can look into it for you in future!

    Peter.
