Tooltips no longer working

    WP 4.7.4
    Simple Calendar 3.1.9

    A client has noticed that tooltips are no longer working on the calendar.
    I tested it on Firefox 53 and Chrome Version 58.0.3029.81.
    I’ve tried it with a WP theme and tooltips still didn’t work.
    I deactivated all the other plugins and tested again and still no tooltips appeared.

    I have tooltips to appear on hover.

    I know that they used to work but I don’t know when they stopped.

    Any ideas what’s wrong?

  • Yes, but the hover doesn’t work on desktop view, either.

    When the calendar is large or is it in responsive view? If it is in responsive view then the clicks won’t work. If it is in the large view then it will work depending on what you have set in your settings.

    It’s a sidebar calendar in desktop view. I have the settings on “hover”. That’s why it was so confusing. Took me a while to figure out it was the version I was using.

    Thank you, Nick, for tracking this issue. If you could fix this, it would be easy for folks who just want to use a click for the popup, to put the settings on “click”, and us other folks to put settings on “hover”.

    I really like this calendar. Tried a couple of others and this was pretty intuitive and had a clean interface.

    Design decision to remove the hover on the narrow width page (mobile) where touch works is a conflict with desktop narrow sidebar widget where no touch is available. Can the CSS @media test both the viewport and device width?
