• I’ve just migrated my blog to WordPress and absolutely love it. I am, however, having one annoying problem. Can anyone shed any light on this?
Whenever I try to import my blogroll as an OPML file and chose Tools/Import/Blogroll, the system rewrites the siteurl entry in the wp_options table leaving the site messed up and the admin area inaccessible. This happens immediately I click “Blogroll” and before I have got to the point of entering the OPML file name.

The site is installed on https://blog.webartz.net but the import process rewrites this to https://www.webartz.net. Can anyone suggest what I can do to prevent this and get my blogroll imported (short of retyping all the information)? Thank goodness for phpMyAdmin which allows me to correct the problem when it occurs!

  • Not experiencing that on a 2.76 blog. Just did it.

Did you hear the ticking? It’s the thing in your brain telling you to upgrade! ??

This is 2.7 (no minor version number noted) and it’s 100% repeatable on my blog unfortunately. Was this a known but on 2.7 that was fixed between there and 2.76? I’ll upgrade but would like to have some reason to believe this would fix the problem before taking the risk (sorry – I have no idea how traumatic a WP upgrade is since I’ve only just started using it).

Sorry. I botched that 2.76, that should read 2.7. The version (to the right) said 2.6 so I assumed the worst ??

BTW, 2.7.1 will be out pretty soon, and the upgrade should be painless ( he says ?? )

Now I didn’t try the import on a sub-domain like you have, so maybe there is a bug.
