The WP Accessibility toolbar is only appearing for logged-in administrators. I’ve tested it on Chrome and Edge and cannot locate the toolbar. It’s also missing on mobile. How can we fix this?

The toolbar is throwing an error that the defined insertion point isn’t valid. It may be that you’ve set an ID for inserting the toolbar that only exists when you’re logged in?

Although it looks like it’s trying to attach to the body element, so that seems unlikely.

Hi Joe, thanks for your replies. Right, currently I do not have any ID specified. Any other possibilities?

It looks like you have a plug-in that’s minifying scripts; that might be causing some kind of problem. Try disabling that?

I’ve checked out the settings of that plug-in, and it looks like we can specify the URLs of JavaScript files to be excluded from minification. Maybe that could work? Where can I find the URL for the toolbar?

I don’t know exactly what the settings expect, but the script is wp-accessibility/js/wpa-toolbar.js, so it’s URL would be https://lowvisionsource.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-accessibility/js/wpa-toolbar.js

Success! I had to specify the URL /wp-content/plugins/wp-accessibility/js/wpa-toolbar.js twice, to be excluded both from minification and from delaying execution. The toolbar is now showing publicly both on desktop and mobile. Thank you so much for all your help!
