Toolbar Menu in Firefox

Hi @stormweb, I just tested on the latest version of Firefox and am able to select a theme normally. I am testing with this shortcode:

[theme_switcha_select text="Choose a theme.."]

Are you using a different technique? Let me know how to get to the bug and I will investigate asap. Thank you.

Hi John, yes I see it now. It looks like a bug. I have added to the to-do list and will try to resolve for the next plugin update. Thank you for reporting.

Just to follow up with this. Been doing a lot of research into this issue, it looks like a bug with Firefox. Here are some articles that mention the same issue:

And there are LOTS of other articles with the same topic, dropdown menu disappears on hover in Firefox, and similar. As far as I can tell, there is no solution or workaround.

I tried resolving the issue from the plugin side of things, but could not achieve any workable results. If you or anyone knows of an example where a select/dropdown menu located in the WP Toolbar works in Firefox, please let me know. Or any other/related clues. I want to resolve this issue. Until then, gonna call this a Firefox-specific issue and move on with development.

The only “solution” I have found thus far is to resize the window, refresh, and then the menu sticks. But if you view the post and go back, the menu won’t stick again.

On the Firefox forum, someone posted: “This happens for me if the Firefox window is beyond a specific width and the layout changes from mobile layout to desktop layout and the three bar menu button is replaced by an horizontal menu bar with labels. You can verify that by making the Firefox window smaller or by zooming the page.So this is caused by the style sheets that are used and the @media rules for various screen widths.”
