Nope, I kept meaning to but never got around to it.

OK you should make a database backup before proceeding and then attempt a repair on the tables using the repair table option in phpMyAdmin

but if all my content is gone, there isn’t anything to back up, is there?

It might not be really gone, no harm is making a backup anyway. Once you’ve done that then as cubecolour says attempt to repair the database.
