    Hi,
I’m using this plugin for years now but the recent new release seems to be problematic. Many users complain about not able to post comments. I looked at setting, I turned off stopforumspam wich block too many IP in my opinion.

I don’t how it works in other countries but our providers in France use dynamic IP and it happens that legitimate users are blocked because of history of their actual IP (I’m supposing that’s a part of the problem).

To be honest I don’t know if it’s possible to make it works correctly. I tried many configurations and I always have random issues. Previous version worked just fine. This plugin did a great job in the past but actually I’m looking for another solution and I’m not happy about it.

I’m not here to bash developer but I will not using Zero Spam anymore. I’ll probably take a look at it sometimes to see how it evolved but I’m leaving for now.

    Thanks for you work anyway.

  • It would be helpful if the admin could be sent an email every time a user is blocked along with date/time/IP and reason.

I didn’t realise the problem with the short message, until I’ve been locked out of my own website for a few days for having a not static IP.

There’s no link to the wordpress plug in and no real information about how to get unblocked, I would certainly like to get an email if a person is blocked and can resolve that for a visitor.

I had paid extra for botscout but won’t continue if it blocks me from my site
