Too much upsell for too little features

  • The plugin tries too hard to sell me on the pro version without really providing that many features. I frequently have to tweak the embed codes it generates, and it doesn’t even insert the embed codes automatically. So there is a lot of copying and pasting and editing and testing. Switching to a different plugin.

    Thanks for the input. If you’re just trying to do basic YouTube embedding, this plugin is probably not for you. Some people wish to add more to their YouTube embeds: annotations, chapters, reactions, extra playback controls… (all free). This plugin and player has been written for them. The PRO features were developed later, by request from existing users; the charge helps to fund part of the serving and development of the player.

    Unfortunately, the rest of your comment doesn’t particular help from a support standpoint as it’s not clear what/why you are actually manually editing given that there’s a free wizard that generates the code to paste.
