    Depending on how the server limit is imposed you could try throttling (limiting the number of emails sent per unit of time) the emails. I write a plugin that does this and sell it here:

    The number of emails sent and the time period can be customised.

    You should check with your hosting provider that this approach will work before purchasing. I’m not sure but there may be other throttling solutions too.
