Too many redirects error after theme change… nothing working
-
So we recently changed our newspaper theme (version 11.1) through tagdiv. Ever since then we’ve been recieving godaddy security monitoring emails saying ‘your site is down’ then 5 minutes later get another email saying ‘your site is now back up’.
Meanwhile, our site’s homepage keeps giving us the “error, too many redirects” page if we’re not logged in or if we try to visit the page in incognito mode. (ingcognito mode does this without fail).
We use the sucurii firewall and SSL service through Godaddy, and when on the general firewall tab it also shows us this screenshot of the site being down. Sucurri also takes care of redirecting all of our http traffic to https… our domain is pointed to the firewall.
We’re at our wits end here and have literally tried everything in this article… from deleting our .htaccess folder to adding code to myadmin.php to fixing the urls in general on WP and disabling plugins. https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-error-too-many-redirects-issue-in-wordpress/
Here’s some pictures of our .htaccess folder for you guys to look at as well as our urls in the general tab…. if you guys have ANY ideas or solutions for this mess we would be greatly appreciative.
If this is a theme issue I can link whatever code you’d like to see from our theme editor if you’d like… we just would really like to figure this out ourselves without having to shell out more money.
