• This plugin struggles too much with styling. At launch styling was semi OK for mobile, but for desktop styling was not applied. It came out that when I excluded CSS of this plugin from Autoptimize, it displayed correctly, but…

This plugin can’t handle flash of unstyled text, everything is jumping on page load or refresh. I had to inline CSS in head to resolve it.

No implementation of FontAwesome icons which is kind of standard in tab plugins also hurts.

Also had a hard time fixing white google map, because of dynamic loading of tabs which requires unusual on click interaction.

The plus of this plugin is probably (not tested) a possibility to embed template code in tab shortcodes.

Thank you for your review, however you should have posted a support request before leaving a review. The display issues you experienced are not a common problem and were likely to be due to theme issues which could probably have been resolved easily had you requested support.

Font awesome support for adding icons is built into the plugin, however a decision was taken to not include the font icons in the core plugin as this was conceived to be a lightweight plugin which would fit the needs of a lot of developers/implementors whilst being extendable. The font awesome files were not included as a lot of themes already include font awesome and there are free stand-along font awesome plugins available to add the font awesome files. Also some site developers/implementors prefer to use the markup generated by the icon shortcode parameter to add their own custom icons.

I admit my mistake about FontAwesome icons support – you did a good work, it was easy to add them. I somehow didn’t notice it while reading general plugin information.

I will update my review once I implement more things using this plugin and troubleshoot the problems I encountered, because it seems to have quite a potential.
