• Hi,
I’ve updated WordPress to version 5.5 and I can’t find a way to make work WordPress properly.
I’ve cleared all possible cache, I’ve tried deactivating plugins but after this update nothing works anymore.

    – “Add Media” button doesn’t work. I can’t add any media to new or old posts.
    – Submenu from WordPress sidebar don’t show up. I have to click on menu items to see the submenu.
    – “Screen Option” menu doesn’t work anymore in any page.
    – In Dashboard I can’t move blocks. They are stuck.
    – “Collapse menu” button on the sidebar doesn’t work.
    – “Edit” post permalink button doesn’t work
    – “Edit” media permalink button doesn’t work

    I don’t know what I should do.
Please help or release a new update that fix these problem.
I can’t work on my site anymore in this condition.
    It’s a really bad situation.

Hi, I’ve updated my theme but I still get this message from jQuery Migrate Helper: Warnings encountered
This page generated the following warnings:

    https://xxxxxx.xxx/wp-content/themes/videopro/admin/assets/js/admin_template.js: jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated

Theme and some plugins are updated now and I don’t know what else I can do.
    Any suggestion?

    I have started this thread.
I have already installed jQuery Migrate Helper plugin and it fixed all issue.
Then I’ve updated the theme because jQuery Migrate Helper say that my theme is causing the issue and now I get the same message.

Ah goodness, you’re right. I got lost somewhere cleaning up the 15 replies from people in this thread who didn’t even have related issues, sorry about that.

So, you continue to have this problem even with the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin active?

    No problem ??
With the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin active all works fine but I’ve updated the theme and I still get the error message.
If I deactivate the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin, all issues reappear so I have two option:

    – Keep active the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin
    or
    – Downgrade to WordPress 5.4

I mean: the first time I’ve installed the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin, it reported a problem with VideoPro theme. Few days ago it was released a theme update so I thought that installing this recent update I would fixed the problem but I still get the same message from jQuery Migrate Helper plugin.

I don’t have any solution left. Theme seem to be still in conflict with WordPress 5.5. after the last update.

I would avoid to downgrade WordPress but I don’t like the idea of having jQuery Migrate Helper plugin permanently active.

Keep the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin active until the offending theme is updated properly.

Make sure that report this to the theme’s developer.
