Too many host connections

    Hey,

    tried to implement this on our website, but as soon as 2 people try to chat at the same time, we get the

    Closing Link: freddie2-tes[[email protected]] (Too many host connections (global))

    message. This is probably server related but is there a solution in the plugin code we can use ? change the ‘unknown’ value with something random every time ?

    Did you try to change the values of the KIWICHAT_URLBASE ?

    “(Too many host connections (global))” is an error by your IRC server. It is saying there are too many connections from the same host (global) which is a setting in your irc config.

    You can raise this setting in your IRC server, or the usual way is to configure WEBIRC/CGIIRC to pass your users hostnames correctly to IRC.

    I couldnt get it to connect so gave up with it. Added all the correct configs to my unrealircd still refused connection. Tried kiwi embeded chat by itself and that worked fine. Would it be possible to modify it slightly so users connect with the username they have registered with on wordpress
