I keep getting an SEO error about too many H1 headings on my page. The one is my title and the other is <h1> == $0
How do I fix this problem?

  • you can check out inbo. We built it with wordpress and all articles are written with gotenberg. you can check if yoast free can fix the problem, or you need to remove h1 tag, as title is doing the job just fine.

    Hi there,
You are getting the error because you have two H1 headings.

    • In the header-logo div
    • Your page title

It seems the issue is on the homepage only. You might want to look at your homepage template markup.

Let me rephrase my question. I know somehow the logo has been tagged as H1, how do I remove that tag. My header.php has zero h1 references

I doubt the H1 element is in the header template because it only appears on the homepage.

It seems the additional H1 tag was coming from my Theme – Bard. Have had endless problems with this theme. It’s still not resolved, but I’ve decided to just ignore it as it seems I will never be able to resolve this.
