• In and off itself not a bad plugin, but the fact that you can’t make any changes to button text and form components without buying their Pro version still makes this a no-go for me.
To be fair, their plugin is far from the only one that comes with such limitations, and at the end of the day they want to make money with their work. That being said, if you look for a simple but well made recruitment tool I’d currently recommend Jobs for WordPress by BlueGlass.

    Hi @naeal,

Thank you for your honest review. We appreciate that.

It’s true that we provide a lot more features on our Pro version of the plugin. Our aim always has been to keep the original plugin simple and lightweight for everyone who wants a simple plugin to list their job openings on their website effortlessly and intuitively. The paid version is for those who want a lot more than just a job listing plugin.

But we do not discriminate against our users. We offer the same level of support for both our free and paid users, as you can see from other reviews. We offer our paid plugins and services for free for eligible non-profits and other open-source projects. We also sponsor community events like do_action and WordCamps.

We are a team of 20 people working behind this one and a few other free and paid plugins. It does cost a lot to build, maintain and provide support for all our users and the money comes only from our paid offerings.

Coming back to the limitation you have mentioned – you don’t need to purchase the PRO version of our plugin for customizing texts in the application form. You can use another free plugin such as ‘Say What?’ to customize the texts easily. We officially recommend this to users who seek our support. But the form builder comes with the paid version only.

Hope you will still consider the WP Job Openings plugin in the future.

    Thank you
