Again cannot access any file under theme editor get the “oops no such file” thingy….
    Help anyone?…

So your themes should be in subfolders under the folder wordpress/wp-content/themes. See Using Themes to review how to add new themes.

You may need to change file permissions on wp-content and/or wp-content/themes. The developers want those folder to be 777 if necessary.

Also, you may find that using the file edit ability of an FTP client such as FileZilla to edit your theme files is easier.

Many thanks Michael! I’ll anxiously wait for your email!

Couldn’t solve the problem so maybe someone else can understand the problem:

On the Design admin panel, it says for the Default theme “All of this theme’s
    files are located in /.”

On my working blog it says for the Default theme: “All of this theme’s files are located in /themes/default.”

Not sure where to fix this or is it the way the path is determined on this host?

    Michael

The blog worked in the past so I don’t thin it is the the way the path is determined on the host. I appreciate that you tried to help.

Can you please reopen my other forum posts then since the problem was not resolved? This is really a huge problem for me and from what I saw, to others. SO far no answer has been given.

    Thanks
    Ana

I am having the same issue… Upgraded WordPress and changed permissions and that does not help… ideas?

I am having the exact same issue on one of my blogs. I even deleted the entire installation and reinstalled and I am having the same issue with the themes.

I can’t see the themes – however it’s possible to change themes.

When I attempt to edit a theme – I get the following message “”All of this theme’s files are located in /.”

Obviously for some reason the program is pulling the themes from the incorrect directory – I can’t figure out where to change it to give it the right way to go.

    Any thoughts???

    keywordcontent
    I have plenty of thoughts.
wheres the blog? whats the url? and what are the themes youve tried to install, just name a cpl please.

I put the one that isn’t working on a subdirectory of its own.
https://artstuff.3amgallery.com/ when I go into themes from the dashboard, the theme names are there however the graphics aren’t showing. When I click on editor I get the message : “All of this theme’s files are located in /.” and the theme can not be edited.
    Thanks!!!

    https://artstuff.3amgallery.com/ is a defualt apache/cpanel page.

Sorry my webhost moved the site to different server thinking *that* might be the issue would have been nice if they would have told me! Gonna try ye olde upload on this one – we’ll see how it goes… I’m mystified because all my other wordpress installations work except for this one…. and I’ve used the same one before and after…. okay off to see how it goes. Thanks for checking sorry my hosting company jumped the gun! I really appreciate your time.
