I have been using WP Mail SMTP for the past two weeks with gmail API access (not on Gsuite). I am encountering the error message “Token has been expired or revoked” once a week. I have to simply reconnect to re-authorize the app again.

I have neither reset the gmail password nor using two factor authorization. I am the only user using the app and token usage rate is very low – one or two times a day.

Is there any setup that should be performed in google console to allow authorization for indefinite period of time ?

  • Hi @humourmind,

Thanks for reaching out. Token can be revoked on many conditions. However, expiring in every 1 week is not usual. Please make sure you’re using the latest version of the WP Mail SMTP plugin. Unfortunately, there is no way to set up tokens for an indefinite period of time.

    I hope this helps!
