Hello, i am hoping that this is simple. I’m working on a site and using the Astra Pro theme, i’ve designed a nice hero landing page with a menu that looks like we’d like it to. The hero section at the top is actually a background video, so i’ve configured the nav menu as ‘transparent’ so it displays behind the nav. All this works great.

However, on other pages, the requirements are slightly different. We like the look of the nav as it is, but we simply want to change it from a transparent menu to one with a background color, since there will be no video background behind it on other pages.

In the header builder for the theme, i see ways to disable the menu/header for posts, or pages, various options. That’s nice, but we really want to use the same menu, just not in its ‘transparent’ state.

Is there a property to toggle via css to accomplish this? Am i missing a setting in the theme itself somewhere? Or, do we need to set about getting into header.php and creating a custom header/nav thru coding? If there’s a video around that talks about this, if someone could point me to it, that would help greatly. Thanks and cheers!

  • Hi @jlanpheer,

Even though you are using the pro version, since your query is actually, not related to the pro, I would like to respond your query here.

Well, there are two ways to enable/disable the Transparent Header. First from the Customizer and second from the Astra Meta Settings. The difference between those two ways is, enable/disable the Transparent Header from the Customizer will be implemented on the whole site, while enable/disable the Transparent Header from the Astra Meta Settings will be implemented only on a specific page.

In your case, maybe you leave the Transparent Header disabled from the Customizer, and enable it only from the Astra Meta Settings of the landing page.

    I hope it helps.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
