Hi Andrea, I noticed that the Toggle form button Hide show form is not responding anymore on my site. I have disabled the form and the plugin, and enabled it again with no luck. Strange what have caused it, have anyone else experienced this?

I have a suggestion for an improvement of the plugin.
When a search is activated, you would expect to se the search result in the top of the page, not the search form. The user have to scroll down to se the result of the search which is an annoying an unnecessary task.

My suggestion is to hide the search form and show the search result in the top of the page, with an title option “Search results” and a “back to search” button.

    Regards
    Carsten

This suggestion will make the hide/show form feature redundant and give a better UX.

    Hi Carsten,

Thank you for the good suggestion, I’ll look into it.

About the non-working button, I am unable to reproduce the issue. May I have a look at your page? You can use my Contact form if you wish to keep it private.

You could also try the new bps-form-nouveau template and see if it works for you.

Hi again, hope you received my message.

The new bps-form-nouveau template does not show the hide/show form, nor with the BP Nouveau Template Pack active?

    To other interested readers:

The problem was caused by the plugin “Advanced WPPerformance”, which moves all the JS files to the footer but, as they warn on their WordPress plugin page, this can break inline JavaScript.

The solution is to disable the optimized JS delivery feature to make inline JS work again.
