    Hello,

    Instructions read as follows:

“Hint: The folders pane can be toggled on or off. To hide the folder pane, click the ‘Toggle folders’ link in the admin menu on the side of the screen.”

I don’t quite understand. I can’t find a “toggle folders” link anywhere. Which admin menu is this you speak of?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi @qeyduey,

Sorry for the confusion. We’re referring to the navigation menu that appears on the left side of the screen (right side if use a right-to-left language). The “Toggle Folders” link should be the second-to-last link in the menu immediately before the “Collapse menu” link. Note that if you have the side menu collapsed, you will only see icons in which case the folder icon is the one that can be used to toggle the folders.

We’ll try to think of a way to make this more clear.

Let me know if you still have trouble.

    Hey @wickedplugins,

Thanks for the prompt response! =D

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. I didn’t even notice it there! So, here’s the thing: It’s not the second last link before “Collapse menu”. It’s actually mixed in with a bunch of my other plugin menu links.

How can I change where this link is displayed?

    Hey @qeyduey,

That’s strange. Are you using any plugins that allow you to customize that menu or the order/visibility of the menu items?

    Hey @wickedplugins,

    Re: Customizing Menu Plugin
Yes — I am. However, I was able to mod the class-wicked-folders-admin.php file and bring it to the top of the admin menu just fine. All is good now!

P.S. Leaving a review now for a great plugin and the awesome lightning fast support. =D

It would be great if you could use screen options to hide the panel. This plugin is useful, but not for all users on my system.

    Hey @1000camels,

I agree that the screen options would be a good place for the toggle. Unfortunately though, WordPress doesn’t offer a clean way to hook into and customize the screen options. That’s why we added a “Toggle Folders” item to the bottom of the left sidebar menu.

You can use that to toggle the folder pane on or off and the preference is user-specific (meaning anyone can hide the folder pane without hiding it for other users).
