A few minutes ago i updated Shield plugin and after updating i saw a message in my WordPress that a Fatal error happened when re-activating the plugin.

I did activate it manually without a problem.

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks

    What was the fatal error?

How should i know that ? The update of plugins of WordPress didn’t say. I just saw that line at the end of the update (when the reactivation apparently happens).

After that i enabled debug.log and i don’t seen anything strange in there. I will keep it enabled for 48 hours just in case.

No need to get irritable. I’m trying to help.

I don’t know whether the error was displayed or not. I don’t have access to your site and I have no clue how it’s configured. Without the error, I can’t point to anything.

Let me know if you find an error elsewhere. I suspect there were some code changes which caused an error with the switch between old plugin code and new plugin code. It’ll likely not reoccur.

Sorry if i sounded harsh, not what i wanted to show here. Just wanted to say that WordPress doesn’t provide any details when updating the plugins.

I updated my second site without any such error and i’m puzzled.

I will keep an eye and see how it goes.

again, apologies if i sounded rude.

No worries at all dude. I suspect it was a temporary thing with some of the code changes that have gone into this release… it’s quite a big one.
