    Hello,

This is my first article with Joli Table of Contents. The first part of the ToC works great, but from the second H2 (Big Bear Indoor Fun…) down, the links go to the the very first H2 in the post (Activities for your Big Bear Weekend Itinerary…).

I’ve tried re-installing a few times, and can’t figure out where I can edit / correct this. Any guidance would be great.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

It seems like there is a problem with the ids of the actual headings within your content.

By default, Joli TOC does not override a heading ID when it already exists. It only creates them when empty. This is designed to adapt to the website’s behaviour because changing an existing ID could cause issue.

My guess here, is you probably copied/pasted content from already “tagged” headings with IDs (from front end to the editor), and changed the actual titles afterwards.

Here is an example of your actual content’s HTML: (the ID is a duplicate from another heading).

<a href="#Things-to-do-in-Point-Reyes" title="Perfect Places to Sleep for Your Big Bear Winter Itinerary" data-numeration="4">Perfect Places to Sleep for Your Big Bear Winter Itinerary</a>

Please check from the editor, click on any “faulty” heading, and in the block settings, go to Advanced > HTML ANCHOR.

There should be NO ID here OR a different ID for each heading. You would need to remove all IDs from headings or set them different from one another.

Please let me know if this helps.

I will mark this as resolved since your page now seems to work.
